The 12 detained aides of Yoruba nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho has continue to spend their days in the cells of the Department of State Services (DSS) despite the bail granted them last wednesday by a Federal High Court, Abuja.
According to their lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the conditions attached to the bail could not be met but efforts are being made to perfect the bail before the end of today (Monday).
we had thought that, by the judge’s pronouncement in the open court, we were required to produce only four sureties. But when we sought for clarification later, we were told we need to produce two sureties for each of them.
The 12 detained aides were arrested by the DSS during a bloody raid on Sunday Igboho residence at Soka, Ibadan on July 1st
