In a bid to abate the growing poverty and hunger on the streets of Lagos State, a non-governmental organization, Areegz Etomi foundation in conjunction with Chiefos international agencies limited, recently fed the needy, homeless and the working poor in Iyana Ipaja, Ijoko, Akute and Iju-Fagba-Station areas as a measure to mitigate the menace of hunger-related crimes in the state.
The event which held between 19th to 25th, December, 2019, was themed “operation feed the needy and beggars for Christmas”.
According to the founder, Godwin Shina Etomi, the gesture was borne out of the need to reach out to the less privileged in the community.
Etomi, who is also the chairman of Grenzeloos transport, Netherlands and BL international resource Limited, urged members of the public to always be willing to stretch a hand of support to persons in need within the society.
Areegz Etomi foundation promotes education and also empowers less privileged and the indigent in Nigeria.
