The Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai has said that realistic training, research and development of technology remains very crucial to the overall development of the Nigeria army which will enhance quality thinking, innovation and accountability.
Buratai who was represented by Chief of logistics major General J I Unuigbe made this known at the Procurement seminal for unit adjutant and administrative officers in Abuja.
Buratai said, operational capabilities of Nigerian Army largely rest on availability of highly trained personnel with necessary Hard wares and other essential resources.
“hence a robust mechanisms to curtail insurgence, banditry and other criminal vices must be adopted”
He added that it is important to Build and strengthen procurement capacity for effectiveness in financial management of the Nigerian Army towards meeting the current dynamics of administrative challenges with a view to defeating the security challenges facing the country.
