Nigerian Army to tackle insurgency through spiritual warfare

The Nigeria Army in response to continues insurgents in the country have develop new way to tackle Boko haram  through spiritual warfare. 

According to Chief of Army Staff,Lt.General TY Buratai, made this known in seminar themed ” countering insurgency and violent extremism in Nigeria through Spiritual Warfare”

The Chief who was represented by Maj. Gen. Muss Yusuf, said the Nigeria Army has attain great feast in fighting against insurgency breaking their rank and degrading their will to fight. 

Also that the insurgency believed in their ideologies remains driving forces as such ideological battle can be in many ways be more important than the kinetic battle.

” it’s easier to kill members of terrorists group than to eliminate their ideology, in case of boko haram is ideology is classified in western education as sin.

” the clergy has important role to play in producing appropriate narrative required to counter the ideologies of this territories group.

 “To reject the ideology of this group community and state need to be join with common purpose, it’s important to start at the grass root where families and local community are the forefront of efforts to prevent people to  subscribers to their ideology.

Buratai also assured that the welfare of officers and men of the Nigeria Army and their family is of utmost importance.
