The chartered institute of forensic and Investigative Professionals of Nigeria CIFIPN, has called on ambassadors of the institute to represent them well so as to hasten to assent of the bill by the presidency.
The pro-term president of the institute, Victoria Enape Aiyshetu made this known at a strategic dinner and award night held in Abuja this Saturday.
The need to be institutionalised so as to function optimally has been the plea of the chartered institute of forensic and Investigative Professionals of Nigeria. This, is in other to tackle the high level of cyber crimes, money laundering and all other forms of financial crimes which requires forensics and Investigations into the growing trend.
While Speaking at the strategic dinner and award night organised by the CIFIPN, the proterm president, Dr Victoria Enape, urged all graduate trainees and recipient of various awards to be good ambassadors of the institution so as to hasten the assent of the bill by the president.
Dr Victoria also stated plans by the organisation expand its office space, to acquire land for a forensic training center amongst other plans.
In his goodwill message, The royal father of the day, Wakili of ZauZau, Alhaji Aminu Wambai corroborated the organisations stance for a corrupt free Nigeria by urging President Buhari to assent to the bill of institutionalising CIFIPN.
CIFIPN as an anti fraud body has through it various programmes emphasized its responsibility which is to provide skills for relevant professionals on the use of science and technology for prevention, detection and investigation of fraud, cyber crime and corruption.
